William Russell – Cert III Brick and Bricklaying. William is the first local HeadStart student to start a bricklaying apprenticeship.
Travis White – Cert III Carpentry. Travis enjoys working with a team of carpenters predominantly building townhouses.
Liam James – Cert III Automotive Light Vehicle. Liam is the first HeadStart student to trial and be offered an Automotive Light Vehicle apprenticeship with Mantello Group in Sunbury.
Emily Watts 12V – Cert III Patisserie. Emily has secured a part time Patisserie apprenticeship with Fergusson Plarres working in their commercial kitchen to produce sweet and savoury goods for their stores.
Alice Liu, an international student with dreams of becoming a doctor, has been awarded Dux at Sunbury Downs College for 2022. The talented VCE student top scored at the school with an ATAR of 94.5.
The Victorian Certificate for Applied Learning (VCAL), Vocational Education & Training (VET) and School-Based Apprenticeship & Training (SBAT) Sunbury Downs College students have been acknowledged by the Hume and Whittlesea Local Learning Education Network for their output during 2022.

Staff won 48 to 40. It was a terrific match. The annual staff and student football match played on the last day of Term 3 each year to coincide with our footy colours day. The game was played in great spirit.

Thursday 26 May 2022 was National Sorry Day, a day we remember and reflect on the Stolen Generations who were forcibly removed from their families, and acknowledge the devastation caused to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
On Friday 13 May 2022, the College officially opened the memorial garden located within the enclosed courtyard.
