National Sorry Day Term 2, 2022

Thursday 26 May 2022 was National Sorry Day, a day we remember and reflect on the Stolen Generations who were forcibly removed from their families, and acknowledge the devastation caused to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

 

                                      

We were honoured to have local elder, Aunty Brenda Fahey (Yorta Yorta Wurundjeri) join us at SDC to hold a smoking ceremony together with Lucy Webster (Kamilaroi) and Kylie Spencer (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung).
