This is very exciting news as the new hub will feature a dedicated early learning centre, flexible multi-purpose community and activity meeting spaces, a commercial kitchen, and spaces for allied
health, training, employment support and other services.
These facilities will be shared between Sunbury Downs College, Sunbury Heights Primary School and the wider City of Hume community.
The State-Government funded, $7.54 million project will provide the Sunbury community with a one-stop shop for kindergarten to Year 12 education, making it easier for families to access community services and manage school commutes, while also creating a comfortable, familiar environment to help students get the most from their education.
We are scheduled to begin work on the centre on Monday 6 May and have the hub ready for use by mid-2020. We’ll carefully manage this to minimise disruption to students and local residents. However, this will mean that there will be no access to the school via Leichardt Street, while construction works are taking place. Please see overleaf for alternative access routes during this time.
We will be posting regular updates on our Website as well as keeping you up to date via our school newsletter.
If you have any questions throughout the works, you can contact the school by phone on 03 9744 0500 or email email@example.comAlternative Access Routes
