Year 12 student Eloise Burton has been recognised by the Victorian Bar and Hume City Council for her academic excellence in Legal Studies. For this she has been awarded $1500 towards her future studies.
During the Term 2 break, Eloise, accompanied by her parents, Assistant Principal (Later Years) Mr Michael Watson and Legal Studies teacher Ms Sophie Stewart, attended the Victorian Bar Foundation Student Achievement Award Ceremony at the Richard Griffith Library (part of the Law Library of
Victoria) located in Melbourne’s CBD. The ceremony was attended by the Victorian Bar Foundation Chairman, the Honourable Justice John Digby, High Court Justice the Honourable Michelle Gordon AC and the Mayor of Hume City, Cr Joseph Haweil. In announcing the successful students High Court Justice the Honourable Michelle Gordon AC commented, “I look to these students being our future leaders not only in the law but across society.”
