VETiS – Vocational Education & Training in Schools
VETiS programs delivered to secondary school students are designed to expand opportunities and pathways for students and improve educational outcomes in line with the Victorian Government’s objective to increase the number of young people completing Year 12 or equivalent.
VETiS in VCE or VCE-VM allows students to include vocational studies within their senior secondary certificate. Students undertake nationally recognised training from either accredited state curriculum or national training packages which may contribute to their VCE and/or VCE-VM.
At Sunbury Downs College, students have the opportunity to take part in a range of VETiS Courses at various Certificate levels:
VET Delivered to Secondary Students
Like VETiS, VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VDSS), is a program to provide VET courses to senior Sunbury Downs students at various TAFE and other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) at key locations outside Sunbury.
Current RTOs working with Sunbury Downs College include Victoria University, Kangan Institute and other specialist RTOs.
