Sunbury Downs College welcomes all international students and their families to our community

Sunbury Downs College (SDC) is a year 7 to 12 co-educational Secondary School situated in the north western region of Victoria in Sunbury. The College is situated 37 kms north west of Melbourne. It is a growing co-educational secondary College, drawing student enrolments from the Sunbury and broader Sunbury and Macedon Ranges districts.

We offer a rich program in an environment with strong student management, high expectations and educational outcomes. The College regards itself as an academic school with a wide range of programs. There is a strong emphasis on core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities; complemented by programs in the Arts/Technology, Performing Arts, Physical Education/Health and Languages (Italian). We also offer a wide range of VCE subjects including some VET studies and a structured rigorous VCAL program.

The College is the only secondary school in the area that offers an Accelerated Curriculum & Enrichment (ACE) Program for academically able students; extending students through a challenging curriculum including early commencement of VCE. The ACE Program is a select entry course with enrolment from our feeder primary schools.

    • ​The National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018 (National Code 2018) supports the National Strategy for International Education 2025 to advance Australia as a global leader in education, training and research.

    • The National Code is a legislative instrument made under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 and sets nationally consistent standards to support providers to deliver quality education and training to overseas students.

Students and their guardians can stay up to date with regard to Visa conditions and their responsibilities when holding such a visa.
